Hi All,
I have a broker named as "Broker" while creating this broker i associated this with one database which has DSN name as "ESBDB" and with username and password as 'db2admin/db2admin'.
Now I want to change my broker DSN's username and password... how do I do that...
I tried using mqsidbsetparams but not worked...Please javascript:emoticon(' ') |

Not worked how? Error message? Return code? Broker deleted?
What version of WMB? Patched to what level? On what OS?
How did you decide to use this command? Based on what in the inforcentre? What parameters did you supply? What user did you run the command as? What authorities does this user have?
You've been told before that just posting "I need to do this, I can't do it, please help me" does not get anyone anywhere.
Nor does trying to use fancy emoticons that don't display. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

the data source used by the broker is not managed using the mqsisetdbparms.
You create the database, create an ODBC DS for the broker, and provide the details of that DS (name, user name, password) while issuing the mqsicreatebroker command.
To change the DS password used byt he broker while connecting to the broker DB, use the mqsichangebroker with the -p switch.
hint: seaching the info center for such basic information is not that hard, maybe next time you will try that first. |

AFAIK you cannot change the user name to access the broker's DB. You can change the passwd though see mqsichangebroker....
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
