What do you think about using jcn and compute nodes in the same flow?
Is it ok? Is it wrong? Doesn't matter?

I think you should use ESQL because it's more efficient unless you have a compelling reason (like you've bought WMB, have 30 Java developers you can cross train and no ESQL experience!).
