Does anyone know of any public DEV/TEST MQ Series Servers available for testing development configurations? I am a newbie configuring my system to connect to another system that is not available at this time and I'd like to get working on my configuration, but I need another system to hit to test with. Just wondering if anyone knows of another one that I can test to.

Thanks,

Dave

I dont know of any public servers but I dont see this as being a show stopper for you. Why dont you just create two local QMs and practice configuring them to talk to each other?

I don't actually have an MQ Series server. I'm connecting to one through a JMS Gateway.

Doesn't whoever's on the other side of the Gateway have a dev box? Even if it's not configured how you need this "not available" one to be configured, it should be good enough to prove your application.

It's also worth cynically pointing out that successfully connecting to any "public" or other dev box does not guarantee you won't get a 2059 (or other error) when this other box becomes available, because this will have an entirely different & unique configuration.

I believe you can download a time-bombed suck-it-and-see installation...

...somebody please correct me if that's no longer the case.

Known in English as the trial version I think.

Could you use the trial version until the other system is available?

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ws/wmq/

The trial version is valid for 90 days.

You might also want to explore the IBM Sandbox trail that will let you test your app for about 4 hours. You will need to move your code to that box thou
