Hi all,

With the help of a walk through available in the IBM WebSphere Help, I have configured the sender and receiver channels on two different machines. Machines are connected through LAN. After the configuration, I have tried to start the sender channel but overall channel status is "retrying". I have checked the receiver channel and it is inactive. I have also tried to start the receiver channel but no success.

Can any one help? Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Check the queue manager log on the sender side for relevant errors.

Double check that the sender channel name & configuration matches the receiver you're aiming at.

Check that both IP address and port on the receiver side are accessable from the server side (telnet is a good tool for this).

Can you tcpip ping from the sender end to the receiver? If not, perhaps there is a firewall preventing any traffic.

Listener running on the receiver end?

Stop the sender channel. Do an MQ PING from sender to receiver. What are the results?

Hi Mansoorafzal,

There is no need to start your recevier channel seperatley if you start your sender channel and if it comes up fine your receiver channel will be automatically started.

I guess there might be some mismatch while configuring your sender channels Can you post the command which you have used while configuring the sender and receiver channels..

And also check whether your listener at the receiving end is running properly.

What is the result of PING Channel?

Please Send the SDR and RCVR properties and hostname with port number.

Please also ensrue that the listener is running at rcvr side.
