Question on MQ v6 pub/sub engine( that comes with the product)
Have a broker hierarchy of three mq servers and corresponding brokers.
A,B,C -- A is root node B,C peer child nodes to A.
did following setup:
1.) strmqbrk -m A (on machine hosting A qmgr)
2.) strmqbrk -m B -p A (on machine hosting B gmgr)
3.) strmqbrk -m C -p A (on machine hosting B qmgr)
QAed before doing strmqbrk commands the sdr/rcvr channels were running bi-directionally between A-->B, A-->C
User on A,B,C doing the admin work was in 'mqm' group. All brokers were running and all MQ channels working !
On two occassions the C broker did not seem to have registered with the A root broker ... reasons unknown ????
Thus subscriptions on C broker were not seen by A broker and global publications did not get sent to C via A.
questions:
1.) What it best guess as to why/how this C broker to A root broker did not register(I will take a plausible scenario)
2.) What is best option on how to correct with minimal impact to broker hierarchy ....
3.) Could this problem be found before publications were lost without use of windows based supportpac like Mo71 or MQExplorer or without user written code .
I am only aware of the amqspsd report program as possible option to indicate broker setup in non-GUI environment.
Upon rebuilding these brokers again this time strictly as mqm admin user all worked.
But whole hierarchy was rebuilt ... on all servers (because this was easiest, quickest and least likely to fail --- based on previous experiences) _________________ "Truth is ... grasping the virtually unconditioned",
