Can we share some knowledge on how did you put six sigma to use in any of the MQ based integration projects? _________________ _____________

You're asking software techos about business management?
Certainly we can remove defects in MQ and how it is used, including minimization of failures by implementing redundancy and High Availability solutions. Quality improvement is a big picture item, MQ is generally a small component of that. _________________ Glenn |

And here's me thinking that six sigma had long been discredited... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

No methodology is ever discredited. Just reworked, reinvented, or rebadged. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

LEAN also seems to be getting a lot of attention recently -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lean_manufacturing
The LEAN mantras are to eliminate waste, continuous improvement and change mindsets. _________________ Glenn |

Having been a 'victim' of LEAN, I found it more to be about reducing everything possible - specifically manpower - and whilst it may work for manufacturing industries, it don't work for others! _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
