Hi, I'm trying to get a bit of advice on publishing a message to a topic using RFHUtil.

We are running the base vanilla MQ series pub/sub (no extras - not the paid for broker). I have no problems connecting to the Qm and putting and getting from standard queues (i.e. not topics).

I have an application subscribed and listening for incoming messages. I can publish a test message using MQ Explorer's Test Publication facility. It works: my application gets that fine.

In RFHUtil I read the message I want to send into the buffer ok and set up the qm and also the queue (SYSTEM.JMS.ND.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE). I select request_type 'publish', specified a topic 'test/alex', sub-point stream 'SYSTEM.BROKER.DEFAULT.STREAM'. The message gets sent succesfully but just sits on SYSTEM.JMS.ND.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE, i.e. it doesn't get propogated through to the topic.

Any ideas pls or an example of the params I need to set to send a simple message to a topic using base mq series pub sub from RFHUtil?

I assume you found some solution by now (post being 3mo old!!)but ... ?

Did you ever get any help with examples on this ...??

I am looking for same.

Here is a url using pub/sub and JMS and RFHUTIL for handling orphan subscriptions ... not what you were looking for but might give useage insight for RFHUTIL
