Hi,
We are migrating our WMQ appls (in C++) from Solaris to AIX.
One of the WMQ server appls makes multiple MQCONN() calls to a local queue manager, with each MQCONN() call on its own thread. The appl works fine on Solaris.
When the same appl runs on AIX, the first MQCONN() call returns a 0, but the second MQCONN() call from a different thread returns 2002 (MQRC_ALREADY_CONNECTED).

Clearly the threading model is working differently on the 2 OS. Have the apps been properly relinked for the new OS, with the right libraries and the right options
(Obvious question but I have seen it done; or not done!)

How did you compile you clients on aix?
did u use -lmqic or -lmqic_r
and yes like vitor mentioned , the threading models are different on solaris and aix..
