Yes, possible. Check for "Overlapping clusters" in WMQ infocenter.. _________________ -----------------------------------------------

yes sure they can...
to add ur qmgr to all clusters...create a namelist on that queue manager and add the cluster names in the namelist..
and then set REPOSNL attribute to the namelist..
and there you have it... _________________ Thimk |

I would suggest that before offering advice, you check the veracity of it. Think on just what you would achieve if you followed your own parlous advice...and then think how confusing it would be to someone who is not at all experienced with clustering. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

This is very specific and potentially misleading advice.
You could break both clusters if you didn't perform all the other steps needed to follow this method. If you're going to post advice, post all the steps. Don't just go "yes sure"! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

How can I break both cluster...unless ofcourse i use one cluster reciever channel...

He will have to give more inputs like how many clusters to be exact and so on..
Creating a namelist is simple straight forward step.
I would really like to know why is my post so misleading...

You've failed to point out that your method not only adds the queue manager to both clusters, it makes it a full repository in both clusters. If one or both of the clusters already has 2 FRs then you could cause resolution errors.
There are also specific point in having an FR in this kind of overlap which have been discussed in here, which the poster should at least be warned to look for. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

No he doesn't. The concept is the same no matter how many overlaps you're doing. How many you should do is a separate question. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

How about the complete lack of mention of separate CLUSSDR/CLUSRCVR channels? Why mention the use of the REPOSNL, especially when you are pronouncing on an infrastructure about which you have no knowledge?

Then wait for him/her to do so before giving potentially fatal advice! _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

I read this a few times, and came up with alternative understandings of what the question asks.
Does the original post intend to have a gateway that interconnects two separate clusters? Or have overlapping clusters? Or an object definition known across clusters?
I'm not certain what available implies here. Like the others, I can take a guess, too. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I suspect that's a question that can only be answered by the original poster. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
