I have MQSeries Client Vers 5.2.1 on my PC and have been using the MQSeries COM lib (MQAX200.dll) in .Net - works OK.
I installed the new MQseries .Net library and tried running the SimplePut sample but get an error trying to instantiate MQQueueManager (unable to load mqm.dll). What am I doing wrong here? |

Do you just have the client library (mqic32.dll) installed? If so, a work around would be to take a copy of that library and call it mqm.dll (don't delete the original) and, hopefully, it should work. |

That did the trick. Thanks!
I am an MQSeries novice. Please... explain why I needed to do this?
Thanks again. |

I am glad that worked, wasn't 100% sure it would.
The MQSeries.NET package is a work in progress. In principle, it allows you to interface with MQ via a .NET supported language. MQSeries has TWO modes of connectining to it. One is as a client and the other is as a server. In the MQSeries.NET environment, it can use either of these mechanisms ... but ... on the environment I have for testing, I only have BOTH server and client installed and hence missed the scenario where a user may have one or the other and not both.
Knowing how the thing works, I knew it was looking for both mqm.dll and mqic32.dll. Copying one to be the other fixed the problem. Do NOT try this on a machine which really does have both installed. There should be no need. |
