Has anyone tried the combination of BlockIP2/MQ6.0.2.6/W2k3 ? I am having problems trying to connect to my qmgr once I setup the security exit. I can connect fine without a security exit.
The error that I get is : The request received an unexpected reason code from an underlying API or command request. Readon Code was 2195 (AMSQ4048).
From the qmgr log:
5/12/2009 16:06:08 - Process(13276.1) User(MUSR_MQADMIN) Program(amqpcsea.exe)
AMQ9604: Channel 'CHANNEL1' terminated unexpectedly
EXPLANATION:
The process or thread executing channel 'CHANNEL1' is no longer running. The
check process system call returned 545284357 for process 13848.
ACTION:
No immediate action is required because the channel entry has been removed from
the list of running channels. Inform the system administrator who should
examine the operating system procedures to determine why the channel process
has terminated.
----- amqrcsia.c : 1423 ------------------
The channel goes into binding status before I get this error, then it just errors out and dumps an FDC file. I've tried BlockIP v 2.66 and 2.69 with the same results. I am using the same version of BlockIP2 on UNIX/Linux without any problems. |

I gather that this is a brand-new security exit that you wrote, yes? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

no, this is BlockIP266 . I recently upgraded MQ 6.0.2.2 to MQ 6.0.2.6 , I am going to try reinstalling to see if something got screwed up during the upgrade, but as far as I can tell the upgrade went smoothly since the qmgr starts and is functioning correctly. |

So you didn't try this with the previous FP. It may not have anything to do with the FP. Does the BlockIP.log file tell you anything of interest ? |

That is correct, I didn't have the exit there before the application of the FP. I just uninstalled the FP and the exit works. I am now in the process of reinstalling the FP and will see what happens. |
