Just wondering if anyone has experienced this sort of issues: We are currently running WebSphere Broker 6.0.0.3 with AIX version 5300-08 and MQ 6.0.2.4

MQ was updated to the latest level(6.0.2.4) just a few days ago. Since then, there have been some strange behaviors noticed.

In the Message Broker toolkit, when listing subscriptions, no client subscriptions show up anymore. This worked fine before the MQ upgrade.

Also, we have a few durable subscriptions that will not receive messages unless they change their subscription ids to something other than what they were registered as before. There is no error that is generated. As a result, the brokers (2 broker cluster) issues periodic messages to the DEAD LETTER QUEUE.

Should the broker have been upgraded as well to its lates version? Has anyone seen this behavior?

If you are referring to the latest version of MQ you should be at 6.0.2.6 I believe...

We went directly from 6.0.2.3 to 6.0.2.5 as it solved a number of problems in the JMS world that we would not have enjoyed visiting @ 6.0.2.4

fjb_saper,

Hmmm, would that also include the client JMS stuff or something at the QMGR?

What I'm getting at is my MQ Client WAS uses is 6021. They claim their MDB takes a long time to retrieve a msg every once in a while when all the other MDBs in the pool are just humming along.

Might be easier solving that particular problem opening a PMR
