I am trying to write a simple application to monitor the status of channels on an AS400 MQSeries. I have used sample codes and not able to connect using the PCFAgent. I think is mainly because I don't know how to use this to connect properly.
I keep getting Completion code 2, Reason 2085 error
my bit of code that declares defines the agent is like this
agent = new PCFAgent ("host_name",1414,"SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN");
and right when I execute this line of code I get the error.
What else do I need to do to connect?
Has anyone successfully connected . I am running my Java program on an NT desktop, but eventually will migrate to the AS400. |

Check on the AS/400 if you have a SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE,
the command server queue on the AS/400 may have a different name and you will need to create SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE alias to
point to the AS/400 COMMAND Q (SYSTEM.COMMAND.QUEUE I think) _________________ Jeff

Jeff:
Thanks for your reply, we do have SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE. It's defined as a local queue but if I create an alias of this queue what should be it's target. We don't have a SYSTEM.COMMAND.QUEUE. |

Benchy,
QN-AppWatch is a web-based tool that you could run off your laptop or anywhere you have access to the internet and be able to view, manipulate, edit, create and manage MQ objects on an AS/400, AIX, Solaris, NT, Tandem, or the mainframe.
You can check our tool at www.reconda.com or register for our upcoming Webinar on Sept 6th to see a live demonstration. |
