I'm building multiple message sets by importing Cobol copybooks. On occassion, a copybook will generate this error in the WMQI log:

Importing COBOL copybook A:\0501_ScheduleSlots_REQ.cpy...

[error 1] file 'A:\0501_ScheduleSlots_REQ.cpy', line 1: syntax error

actual: * expecting: IDENTIFICATION

Fatal error occurred during parse.


****OR THIS ERROR***************************


Importing COBOL copybook A:\0501_StartSearchforScheduleSlots_REQ.cpy...

Fatal error occurred during parse.

**********END ******************

I have tried renaming the level 01 identification naem and re-formatting the copybook but to no avail.

Has anyone experienced this import obstacle? Are there any other suggestions on how to resolve?
