At the risk of repeating myself from a one-year-old topic...
Who from the forum is going to IMPACT this year?
It should be a good one. |

Why? Anything you can share now, however hi level?
Managers will need some reasons to go again this year if someone went last year. _________________ Peter Potkay

Seriously - the impact website isn't offering too much in the way of details. Why take the gamble of their 'early-bird registration' offer if you might eventually find out there's not much to be presented in your area of interest? I want to register, but I have no concrete justification for doing so. |

All,
On an interesting side-note, an IBM rep called me last week with a new, reduced vendor price to entice me (Capitalware) to be a vendor at Impact 2009.
I'm tempted but I said no thanks. As I said previously, being an MQ only vendor, I find that MQ is lost at Impact. To me, most participants do everything but MQ.
I strongly requested to the IBM rep that IBM create a messaging only conference. i.e. MQ, ESB, CICS, etc.. I told them that I would gladly pay my vendor fee to go to that kind of conference.
Regards,
Roger Lacroix

I have not been given the green light to attend Impact 2009 but I will be keeping my eye on the website in the hope that any WebSphere/MQ information is added to the site for downloads for all those who are unable to attend in Vegas. |

There is a MQ and CICS conference in Europe - usually called the Transaction and Messaging Congress. |
