We have a similar problem. I can telnet to the destination port but the sender channel is still not going into the running state. The counterparty is a Queue Manager on AIX. It seems one of our connections is on the AIX side still shown as established.... I can not figure out why this is the case ? I have stopped our sender channel waited so long for the connection to drop. Issued the command netstat -an | find "xx.xx.xx.xx" the IP address and found that there is no connection. But the counterparty says that the connection is still running. Can you help with this issue ? Would it be of help if I change something with the sender channel type or else ?

Thank you.

Please do not reopen 4.5 year old posts, I thought I'd dropped through a time warp as I read read through to your post! better to start a new thread

What platform are you on? What error codes are showing (if any) your side? have you asked the receiving party to STOP INACTIVE their end?

split as a new thread. Maybe time to look into the new MCA attribute.
