Hi All,
Im trying to know if there is any SupportPac (or) MQI-tool to calculate the response-time / network throughput ?
running MQ version 6.0
platforms: AIX, Windows-Server 2003
Tasks:
1) Determine the MQ network throughput for different message-sizes between a client-server connection
2) Determine the MQ network throughput for different message-sizes between a server-server connection
The purpose is to build a similar test-bed as used in MP6K SupportPac (AIX MQ 6.0 performance) to obtain throughput results
I see that SupportPac - RFHUTIL (IH03) can be used to measure performance. This tool looks to help calculate latency for different message-sizes.
In my organization, large-files are moved over mq between end-adapters. If the network latency is high, file-transfer fails (times out) & will be retried. The file-transfers have to be fast enough with least number of network-failures. My objective is to tune the mq-network with optimal "throughput-size (high) + latency (low)" combination.
Are there any other freeware tools that better suit my requirement?
