Hi,

We have a application , which has the MDB listener configured. MDB listner is going down due to poison messages . we need an alert mechanism which initimates as when MDB listner is going down .....

You could alert on the fact the QDEPTH is building up, or the fact there are no input counts open on the queue. Most tools should allow you to achieve this. Previously I have used OmegaMon to do such a thing.

Define a backout queue. Monitor the backout queue. Messages arriving on the backout queue are poison messages.
