You know, I thought I remembered seeing these instructions somewhere but I don't remember where.

Does anybody know the procedure to manually delete a broker?

I managed to create one and the tables got deleted...

Can I kill it from registry and components?

I'm using UNIX (AIX).

What do you mean by deleting a broker? Removing it from the configuration manager can be done using the Config Manager Proxy API.

Maybe this helps

No, I don't mean registering or unregistering the broker with a config manager.

I mean manually deleting instead of mqsideletebroker.

from the docs the suggestion is this one:

You cannot delete your broker after deleting your broker database

* Scenario: You deleted your broker database, and now you cannot delete your broker, and get warning message BIP8040.
* Explanation: The mqsideletebroker command checks for the broker database tables and issues warning message BIP8040 because the database is not there.
* Solution: You can work around this problem by creating a dummy database with the same name as the database that you deleted. You must also re-create the ODBC connection. Reissue the mqsideletebroker command and delete the dummy database.

But you need mqsideletebroker , hmm
