Hi all

We are posting a message to a local queue in MQSTR format but it appears on the remote queue as MQHRF2.

Local MQ is 6.0, remote MQ is 5.3 and the destination app is non-JMS compliant, hence our requirement to see the message as MQSTR.

The message is posted via a Java app and the setTargetClient attribute is set to:
((MQQueue)queue).setTargetClient(JMSC.MQJMS_CLIENT_NONJMS_MQ)

Can anyone give advice on this? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Simon.

Are you using the JMS APIs or the base MQ Classes?

Do you work with an MQMessage or a javax.jms.Message?

Must be something in your code...
How is the Destination created?
How is the Destination altered?
Do you use the qcf property pertaining to the targetClient for request/reply?

Have fun
