Hi,
I'm constantly finding that I'm having issues with charactersets. Some non alphanumeric characters are getting garbled as the messages are passed through flows and queues. I'm running the QM and broker on Windows, and the characterset ID for the MQ install is 850. Do I have to explicitly set the CodedCharSetID in everyflow that puts onto a queue, or is there a better way of doing this? |

CCSID must match the content of any given message. If the message has special characters in it, and is being interpreted by a Windows (or UNIX) machine not speaking code page 850, it's vital that the CCSID does match, the message format is string & you specify that conversion be done.
Or handle the characters separately. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
