Hi Guys,

I am using the operating system: Windows and MQ version 6.

To check if MQ is installed on other teams desktop, I have recommended to execute the commands dspmqver and dspmq to check if MQ server is installed or not.

When we run these commands, we get
'dspmqver' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

But the guy says, he has the executables in his installation directory . But when he executes from DOS prompt, he gets not recognized command.

Can you pls let me know if themq executables dspmqver, dspmq, crtmqm exist on Rational also as Rational is also running on that desktop?

Thanks

Sounds like the guy has path issues. Has he rebooted since installing MQ? He can also cd into the dir that houses dspmqver and run it there.

I don't know that Rational has any relavence to this.

MQ Server installation on Windows adds the following folders to the global PATH

C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib;C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin;C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\tools\c\samples\bin

This enables MQ admin commands and samples to be executed from a command window or shortcut.
