All,
Capitalware Inc. is pleased to announce the release of MQ File Mover v2.1.0 for free.
MQ File Mover application is a software package that is designed to move files using WebSphere MQ (aka MQSeries).
New features in version 2.1.0:
- Added support for on-the-fly compression and decompression of the message data
- Added support for CCDT (Client Channel Definition Tables) to connect to a remote queue manager.
- Added code to explicitly set the message to be persistent in File2Msg.
Since MQ File Mover has implemented compression and decompression of message data, the end-user is now able to move files much larger than the 100MB limit. A typical plain text message data will get a 10-to-1 compression ratio whereas mixed message data will get a 3-to-1 compression ratio. During our testing, certain plain text message data obtained 25-to-1 compression ratio and some data achieved up to 50-to-1 compression ratio.
MQ File Mover is licensed under Apache License 2. It is free to use but support is not included. A support license may be purchased.

New features in version 2.2.0:
- File2Msg supports wildcard (i.e. *.txt) in the filename to send multiple files as separate messages in a single execution.

MQ File Mover v2.3.0
- Added support for archiving the file in File2Msg
- Added support for deleting the file in File2Msg
- Created a mechanism (JobName) for specifying the command, parameters and actions (wait, archive or delete) to launch an external program.
- Added support for launching a local JobName in File2Msg
- Added support for specifying a remote JobName in File2Msg
- Added support for launching a JobName in Msg2File
