here is the error msg I'm getting while trying to browse a local Q


MQOPEN - 'MQ_QMGR

MQGET 1, failed with CompCode:1 Reason:2080
MQCLOSE
MQDISC

Is it anything to do with the settings of Local Q authorities?

While this post does mention 2080 errors, it's only tangentally relevant to this problem, being more associated with PCF issues than buffer size.

If you're going to post links to previous threads (which is a practice I'd like to encourage), try and find one with a bit more of a direct connection. I'm sure you'd hate to mislead an inexperienced user into thinking he has some kind of command problem.

Especially as he already seems to think buffer size is a queue attribute!

(Note that "he" is used in this context as shorthand for "the poster". No intimation is given or intended as to the actual gender of the poster, which is irrelevent within the context of the forum).

Yeah, the post does talk about PCF. However one of the threads says:
