Hi JMSers,
while trying to run a non-jndi JMS an application running on JRE 1.4.2 on Windows from MQ 6.0 to MQ 7.0.0.0, we experienced issues that we were able to reproduce using only the JMS sample PTPSample03.java included in MQ 6.0 in bindings mode.
Everything works fine with JRE 1.5.
What we get using JRE 1.4.2 is a some FDCs (see FFDC_NoProVer here http://tinyurl.com/dg3mg6) with this probe:

The same FDCs probe but with different stacktraces (see FFDC_ProVer dir here http://tinyurl.com/dg3mg6) was obtained when we tried to externally force QCF PROVIDERVERSION=6 via jms.config parameter com.ibm.msg.client.wmq.overrideProviderVersion=6, but in this case we also got as far as getting this exception as well:
