I installed MQ in Windows 2000 Build 2195: Service Pack 4.

Problem for me is whenever the server is rebooted, qmanager trigger moniter does not start automatically.

However if I restart Qmanager manually, it works.
I don't know what is problem.

Are there any examples like this??
If someone knows, please tell me..
please help me

Is it set to automatically start as a service? Or under queue manager control? What does the Windows event log say?

What do you mean by "passively"

We really need to know what version of WMQ, and how the trigger monitor is configured to start, along with any error messages in Windows or the queue manager logs.

If I had to say, I would theorise that when you reboot the server the trigger monitor is trying to start before the queue manager has finished it's start up roll forward. Hence it works on a manual start some period of time later.

Questions:

- does the queue manager use linear or circular logging?
- if linear, how often do you do log maintenance?
- does the queue manager have one or more queues where a large number of messages would sit for an extended period?

And if you are patching Windows why aren't you patching MQ

V 6.0.1.0 indeed. Upgrade to 6.0.2.6!
