Hi all
I want to upgrade our standalone MQ Server to HA infrastructure.
Original Infrastructure is work fine in production server.
only 1 server, named Server A. The MQ is installed at local drive
Windows 2003 enterprise server
IBM Websphere MQ Series 6.0.2.2
New extend Infrastructure
Two server, passive mode, Server A is primary and Server B(new server) is a failover server.
When Server A down, Server B will auto startup.
Two server share Queue Manager Data and log in SAN Shared disk under Veritas cluster software version 3.3.782.0
I've detailed the steps I planed to do, If anyone done this successfully, could you please
take as look and let me know if anything I've left out?
Thanks a lot.
SAN disk have Q and Z drive.
step1: At Server A, Stop MQ Service and queue manager and excute hamvmqm to change the MQDATA and log directory.
(Backup up the directory before hamvmqm MQ configuration to SAN Disk )
step2:Testing the Server A check if MQ can work fine.
Step3: At Server B, Install MQ Server and point the MQData and log directory at removed disk.
(The patition is named to Q and Z drive)
The MQ Setting is the same as Server A.
Step4: Change primary to B server by VCS and check if Server B MQ is work fine.
