Hi All,
Currently our MB Application is residing on 32 bit server which is interacting with database residing on 32 bit server.

now the database residing on 32 bit server is going to be changed to 64 bit ,what are the changes we need to do from mb side to interact with the new 64 bit server.

our MB version is 5.0 and MQ is 5.3
DB2 8.2

Aside from any operational imperitive, this might be a good oppertunity to move onto supported levels of WMB & WMQ; I mean, you're testing a new database version so you'll have test scipts and stuff all set. Just saying.

If the database is currently on a separate server I'm assuming you've got a DB2 client locally for WMB to use. You'll probably need a newer version of and, depending on how you're migrating the database you might need to delete/define the broker.

Not a big expert on WMBv5 - I'll stand correction here.

Mr Vitor,
You mean you want us to upgrade to newer version of message broker so that broker have a compatibility for 64 bit server.

Here, in our case, already database is configured on 64 bit platform and broker should interact with that database.

We want to know that whether broker can interact with database residing on 64 bit server.

Oh no, I'm just pointing out your software stack (WMBv5 & WMQv5.3) is a bit long in the tooth & it might be an idea to upgrade this software while you're upgrading the database to minimise disruption & maximise re-use of testing resources and so forth.

Broker interacts with database via ODBC connection, so if the ODBC drivers / DB2 client are happy I don't see an issue.

Others might - as I said, WMBv5 is not my strong suit.
