Hi Experts,
Can someone provide doc or steps to implement multiinstance q manager for HA in windows environment as my organisation gave up to purchase the HA at cluster level(MSCS) so we are implementing Multi instance q manager.
Also the advantages of multiinstance is easy configuration integrated with MQ explored and high failover as compared to MSCS.
MY question to experts is we are implemention on single physical machines (2 environments) UAT and production with the help of Virtual machines.
How virtual machines will play role in failover to another machine, ineed an understanding of this , like how the client will get conencted to failed instance or is it manual i have to start standby instance and than the client automatically gets conencted running Qmanager |

Amazingly, it's all in the manual. Who'd have thought IBM would document it?

Not necessarily on the Windows platform, although it has been hinted that may change with V7.1.

VMs with SAN attached disk? And again, IBM have thoughtfully put all the information about reconnectable clients in the manual. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
