Hello

We are using MQ v6 and having problem on permission. There is a MQ local group on the server called 'AAA' which has access to the queue manage 'A'. All members in the group have no issues to access the queue manager 'A', but only one of the members is unable to access. The error in the log is below. Checking the permission on the 'SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL', no one has access except MQM.

AMQ8077: Entity 'XX(user name)' has insufficient authority to access object 'SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL'.

EXPLANATION:
The specified entity is not authorized to access the required object. The
following requested permissions are unauthorized: inq
ACTION:
Ensure that the correct level of authority has been set for this entity against
the required object, or ensure that the entity is a member of a privileged
group.

I cannot find out why only one user in the group is having such problem even though other members in the group are haing no problem.... I had refreshed the security many times (via MQ command) but still the same.

Does anyone know what is wrong? Thank you for your kind help in advance.

Hiro

are all users using mq explorer and only this user is not working?

could you please use dspmqaut and show us the proper security definitions?

in the system administration manual, there is a section on page 136 (mqv6) for "Authorization to use the Websphere Mq Explorer". Did you verify that all these settings are done?

The failing user is using Java and the others are not? Based on it's the inq permission that's missing.
