Hi,

If I remove a broker from a config. manager proxy, and add it back again (cleanly), how do I ensure that the existing message flows show up again in Toolkit?

Thanks

What version?

Are you "adopting" the broker? Or "deleting" it and "adding" it back again?

Broker 6.0.07.

Removing it (deleting) and adding back.

If you delete a broker in the Broker Domain hosted by a ConfigMgr, you must follow this up with mqsideletebroker, followed by mqsicreatebroker. This is true regardless of what method you use to delete it from the ConfigMgr domain.

When you tell the ConfigMgr to delete the Broker, it tells the Broker to prepare itself for deletion.

I don't quite remember if v6.0.0.7 lets you adopt a broker or not, I think that's only in 6.1 that you can unregister a broker from one ConfigMgr broker domain and register it with a different one (or the same one again).

Only 6.1 lets you adopt a broker.
6.0 lets you add the broker again. However if you did not delete it you may have to change the UUID. (see toolkit proxy). And you would have to redeploy everything...
Best practice says delete and recreate the broker.
