Does anyone know why the client errors logs truncate the Program([name]) as shown below from an AMQERR[##].LOG file?

…Program(MQViewer2005.exe)
…Program(iewer2005.exe)
…Program(r2005.vshost.exe)

All are obviously the same program.

My guess is that because program names & command lines can be very long (especially Java), the MQ trace modules use a short buffer (12, 16 bytes, whatever) and take the right hand portion of the name, to keep the trace concise.
