Is it possible to know where we have done any configuration changes in MQ ?Is there any way to find out any setup changes has been done on a particular date in MQ. |

which platform?...if it is z/os..you can have configuration events enabled and can be generated when an object is created, changed, deleted & refreshed
any other platform...mq is not supporting it directly _________________ Prasanna |

It depends on what kind of configuration you are looking at.
If you are talking about things like mqs.ini changes (or the equivalent changes on zOS) then you have only your platform methods for noticing.
As rgprasanna says, on zOS you can get events generated for changes made to MQ objects (like queue definitions). I know of several shops that use SupportPac MS03 - Saveqmgr on a daily basis, and archive the results. Diffs can be performed and in this way changes can be noticed. |

On any other platform than zOS as it has been pointed here it is not supported directly BUT it will be easy to script it out with just running saveqmgr and compare it to the last backup you had. Or if you already have mo71 just do the same "diff" between the consecutive backups (use the %i10 or something on the name of the backup) |

Of course if someone changes an attribute to something they shouldn't, then changes it back before your next MS03 backups, you won't see anything changed. If you compare Alt Times you'll see that something changed, but you won't know what. _________________ Peter Potkay

And be aware that the qmgr itself does changes that (I believe) will impact Alt Times.
Like when a channel goes active/inactive some attributes to the xmitq get changed... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

yup... that's why those changes are ignored in MQDocument's diff function,
this shows the difference between 'simple' file compare and functional compare... _________________ Michael
