MQ documentation indicates that cluster sender/receiver channels need to be defined to join a QM to a cluster. Is there any reason/rationale for manually defining cluster sender/receiver channels between 2 non-repository QMs?

No. If an application on a cluster qmgr (PR or FR) needs to create a clussdr channel to another cluster qmgr (where the destination queue lives), clustering software will automatically define one (a CLUSSDRA) if none exists. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
