Hi,

We are trying to access a Queue Manager on Openvms from a JAVA Client running on Windows NT.

The following MQEnvironment properties are set in the JAVA Client
port -- port number
hostname -- ip address of the server m/c
userID - set to a user id which is valid on openvms server and has access to the queue maneger.
password - passwd for userid
channel - SYSTEM.DEF.SRVCONN

we get a error while connecting to the queue manager..
MQJE011: Socket connection attempt refused
MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2059

Also, tried accessing the server using the MQIVP program
java MQIVP
....resulting in same error.

Are we missing some configuration part here

All suggessions are welcome
