Hi guys,
I am building up an environment with MQ and MSCS.. while reading the doc I find a statement everywhere that first create a queue manager on local drive and then migrate the log files using "hamvmqm" to shared drive.. I am not able to understand the reason..
Why can't i change the log directory to shared drive itself while installation ?
has anyone worked on MSCS and MQ before.. please guide..

Because the migrate command ensures the necessary Registry entries changes for that queue manager are promoted to both nodes, as well as moving the directories. If it was as easy as changing the log directory path etc., IBM wouldn't have bothered with the hamvmqm command. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.
