We are using wmb 6.0.2 for our SOA initiative. We have 2 brokers in Production and so far the services we have developed are using MQ transport . The broker queue managers are in a cluster with WAS and CICS queue managers which takes care of load balancing. Now we are developing services that use SOAP over http, and we are exposing some flows as web services using the httpInput node. My question is what is the common practice to achieve the load balancing in case of these flows? Because these flows have URLs that are specific to a particular broker, all the requests are going to one broker unlike MQ requests which go to both (because of the cluster). Do we have to use a httpserver to round robin the http requests?
We are planning upgrade to broker 6.1 soon. Does it have any built-in functionality to facilitate the horizontal scaling for http messages?
