Hi,
I have to develop rules for five use cases between seibel and other systems. Can I install a toolkit on my Windows box and connect to a remote queue manager installed on a Unix server? Does my machine and the Unix server need to be on a sub-system or LAN or can I connect and work via HTTP?
It deploys to Broker *using* MQ, an MQ client connection to be exact. It can connect to a Broker's queue manager from anywhere that any other MQ client can connect from.
There is no HTTP based management or monitoring interface for either Broker or MQ, unless you purchase one separately.
MQ and Broker can be managed over any kind of network system that you can get MQ to connect over (anything that supports TCP/IP, anything that supports SNA, and other network protocols if you really need them).
Whether or not you should be managing Broker and MQ over the public internet is a different question, but you certainly can do it.
