Is it a good idea/best practice to have Portal server and Process server run on the same box ..since both use WAS ..
So I can have one instance of WAS and run Portal and Process server on the same WAS instance.

Is that a good solution?

my requirement is that we have tight integration of worklist in portal, hence my question.

It's a solution. It being good depends on your circumstances.

Tight integration has nothing to do with where the products are running.

So you think its a good solution..

on what does it depend , I mean i have a powerful server capable of running both..in that case wouldn't i run both on the same box?

But is its best practice ..I have no idea..because I can't find many people who are using WPS in production and how they have set it up..

But I think it should run fine save me a additional server that is currently under utilized.
