I had to remove some messages from a transmission queue (long story), so I used the q program to move them to a holding queue.
I want to manually reroute these transaction, but I cannot seem to get the Q program to remove the transmission headers. I'm hoping that this can be done with Q, since I am leary about trying to reprocess the messages directly (i.e. putting them back in the original transmission queue).
Is there an option that I am missing? Will Q strip xmit headers?

Have you tried putting them on an xmitq that connects to a different qmgr.
If the queue does not exist there they should go to the DLQ. It should then be easy to reroute the messages with a DLQ handler.
I know it's a little bit convoluted, but I thought it would be the thing with the least effort.... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
