I have been told that it is possible to script definitions of MQ objects like queues, processes, qmgrs, and so on, so that one could recover or transfer the definitions, but the guy who told me couldn't remember how.
I know how to do a DISPLAY of things, like
DISPLAY QLOCAL(queue-name)
and I could build a definition script from the result, but I was thinking more along the lines of being able to take the results and use them in a DEFINE command in MQSC.
Is there anyone here who knows how to do this? _________________ "...a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right..." [Tom Paine] |

Support pac MS03 creates a program called saveqmgr that will capture object definitions in MQSC format.
If z/OS, you can use CSQUTIL. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
