Hello all,
I have got a query regarding savemgr support pac.I have found that when we take a saveqmgr dump of any running Q-Manager the details of an alias queue does not get updated. For example if the dump is read the base queue or the target queue name is missing in it.So if we create a Q-Manager with the dump then we need to remember the target queue or base queue for each and every alias queue. Can any one tell me if its a bug or its the way saveqmgr works.

It's a bug.
If you're using MS03 6.1.0, and trying to process a queue manager at version 6 or earlier, then it is incorrectly reporting TARGET(...) instead of TARGQ(...).
I have a fix for this, and a number of other things, in a version 6.1.1 that I am having difficulty actually shipping. Please contact me through the instructions that come with MS03 for specific assistance. |

I'm not aware of any bugs in this area in that release.
... uhm. come to think of it, there's something that makes a difference between "6.0.3" and "6.0.3a".
Please contact me through the information provided in the current version of the supportPac (contacting Wayne Schutz will not help you in the slightest), and send me an output file that shows this, along with information about the platform you're running ms03 on and the platform the queue manager is running on. |

Hello Jeff,
Find the version of MQ I am using on my Windows XP machine
C:\>dspmqver
Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 6.0.0.0
CMVC level: p000-L050519
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
and the saveqmgr version is given below, i dont know how to find the exact version of it, I typed in just the below
C:\>saveqmgr
SAVEQMGR V6.0.3
Compiled for Websphere MQ V6.0 on Aug 22 2006
