Our client, a financially stable Global Investment Bank leader, is looking for a MIDDLEWARE ARCHITECT to join their team.
(this is a perm position)
Location: Jersey City
Group & Department: SOA/ITD/WMD/Middleware
Overall Purpose of Job:
Architect Middleware solutions for Bank’s business applications; provide guidance to programmers in developing adapters and message flows. Responsible for the development, testing, implementation and support of map flows and application interfaces by utilizing the Bank’s Middleware tool set (WBIMB 6.0, WMQ, third party data transformation tools – iWay, WTX etc.). The position will also be responsible for the development and support of platform dependent adapters to provide application interface to the Bank’s messaging transport layer (MQ Series). Additionally, acts as a liaison who is able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical deliverables and communicate this information to other Middleware developers.
• Architect, design, develop and support solutions application interfaces using the Bank’s Middleware tools.
• Collect and document interface requirements & specifications. Communicate with business users and develop interfaces based on financial message formats
• Design, develop and support adapters using the Bank’s messaging transport layer
• Implement software upgrades and tech changes.
Experience/Abilities:
• Strong skills in the Bank’s middleware tool or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Middleware development and 10+ IT experience
• Experience with MQ series programming APIs.
• Strong programming experience with industry standard programming languages and environments.
• Strong analytical skills;
• Understanding of banking business and industry standard formats (EDI, SWIFT etc.).
• Programming knowledge of RDBMS concepts.
• Knowledge of operating systems including Unix, Mainframe and NT.
• Researches new technologies and solutions.
• Supports and maintains production environment.
