Redbooks are a specific type of thing, contrasted to whitepapers, and not really "journals on software architecture in particular", although there is a series of higher level redbooks that do cover that.

If one wants to stay blue, but wants something more 'academic' than the practical and business oriented redbooks... I quite like the IBM Systems Journal.

If you are looking at the integration/middleware space, this book is really useful. It discusess 65 different patterns for messaging based integration.

Enterprsie Integration Patterns by Gregor Hohpe.
