Hi,

I know I have to create channels between QMGRs in a cluster, but if a cluster contains brokers, do I have to create channels between QMGR and Broker and channels between Brokers?

Thanks

No you don't - that's the point of the cluster.

Brokers only communicare with their local queue managers. Such queue managers, if clustered, conform to the usual rules & behavours for clustered queue managers.

Which do not include manually defined channels between all the queue managers.

I am confused.
The book in "http://www.lifeng.name/document/manual/mqm/csqzae/csqzae0g.htm#FIGCSQ68A1" said:

"Within clusters, messages are distributed between cluster queue managers on a special type of channel for which you need cluster-receiver channel definitions and cluster-sender channel definitions. "

This is the "special type of channel" I referred to.

But I think I need to remove the connection between Broker and Broker2.

Thanks

Do not trust any MQ manual that is at a url that does not include "ibm.com".

Which are not arranged to connect all the queue managers in a cluster. That's the point of a cluster.

What connection? There would only have been a connection between their queue managers, and you might still need that. And you'd get it if the queue managers are clustered.

Read some real documentation, and get some training.

Try the links at the top of the page, called 'Library' and 'Info Center'...
