Hi,

In the MQ error logs I find error, see below.

I cannot see the queue's anymore in Mq Explorer, but they seem to be still present.

I tried to recreate the object but all failed.
$ dspmqfls -m QUPI1 -t q AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111
WebSphere MQ Display MQ Files

QLOCAL AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111
/
$ rcdmqimg -m QUPI1 -t q AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111
AMQ7084: Object AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111, type queue damaged.
$ rcrmqobj -m QUPI1 -t q AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111
AMQ7047: An unexpected error was encountered by a command.
DISPLAY QUEUE(*) RNAME
2 : DISPLAY QUEUE(*) RNAME
AMQ8149: WebSphere MQ object damaged.

Error:
11/05/08 10:38:41
AMQ7472: Object AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111, type queue damaged.

EXPLANATION:
Object AMQ.48CB6D9C20074111, type queue has been marked as damaged. This
indicates that the queue manager was either unable to access the object in the
file system, or that some kind of inconsistency with the data in the object was
detected.
ACTION:
If a damaged object is detected, the action performed depends on whether the
queue manager supports media recovery and when the damage was detected. If the
queue manager does not support media recovery, you must delete the object as no
recovery is possible. If the queue manager does support media recovery and the
damage is detected during the processing performed when the queue manager is
being started, the queue manager will automatically initiate media recovery of
the object. If the queue manager supports media recovery and the damage is
detected once the queue manager has started, it may be recovered from a media
image using the rcrmqmobj command or it may be deleted.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Well I listed the commands I tried with their responses. It did not work. And if I delete the object, I don't know what I will lose, and also do not know how to recreate it ...

So the question is, what is the command to fix it.

Thanks,
Tim

Looking at your DISPLAY command it looks like you're displaying a remote queue. There's nothing locally recorded so nothing for forward recovery to recreate.

This kind of object doesn't hold anything; messages sent to it are actually stored on the relevant xmitq.

Delete and redefine.

Does that name construction not look suspiciously like one for a Dynamic queue?
