Hi,
I am able to browse the message on alias queue,I got surprised.
here 2 cases
I have put 2 messages
1)wen alias queue and it's target queue are defined on same queue manager, den I am able to browse the 2 messages
2)if target queue is defined on other queue manager den I tried to browse den
I see 2082(MQRC_UNKNOWN_ALIAS_BASE_Q)
Strange here in case 1 Why I am able to browse from an alias queue even there is no messages stored? |

Why is it strange?
An alias queue name simply resolves to a local queue or a remote definition when it is opened. |

or - with other words - you can not browse a queue that is not local to the queuemanager you are connected to. no matter, if you try it via remoteq definition or a aliasq definition. _________________ Regards, Butcher |
