hello
i am having problems with installing the toolkit 6.1 the trial version available from IBM.

here are the componets i tried to install
MQ explorer 6.0
MQ broker 6.1
MQ tool kit 6.1
DB2 8.2
and i have the eclipse loaded from the IBM that comes with explorer on a XP pro machine.

i am having issues when i try to create a default broker.
it syas that it is not able to create the broker.

i tried all the solutions metioned in couple of other threads like chanign the class path and even tried with DB2 9.0 versions. i even tried with couple of other versions of MQ explorer.

can some one please tel me exactly which versions and what peices of componets that i need to install and the order of them.

that will be real help for me to get started.

if possible can you please provide the links to them so that i can download.

thanks in advance.

i am really new to this and trying to get my foot print into this middle ware.

Assuming that you did have MQ installed, what exact error did you get?

The default configuation wizard will have told you to look inside an error folder or file for more information; what does this file contain?

No MQExplorer is only the admin tool for WebSphere MQ. You will not be able to create a broker if MQ is not installed.

To verify the installation of WebSphere MQ go to an OS prompt and type:
dspmqver

Enjoy

hello all,
thanks for all your help.
i could able to start and load the default configuration, broker. it is up and working now.

the solution to my problem was, i just went into the registry and removed the all the keys related to default broker6.

here is the location HKEy_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\
and underneth it look for all the folders that have the broker6 related keys and remove them.
and came back and tried reinstalling them and it worked fine to me.

thanks all again for there replys.
