Hi everybody, someone knows why appears this error when I'm trying install MB 6.0. (This error is shown when I execute the 'setup.exe'")
"Invalid jvm file name specified in LAUNCH. Variable number is invalid (k)"
When I execute 'setup.jar' shows this error:
"Jvm not found"
-----------------------------------
My PC has:
jdk: 1.6_07
SO: WinXP SP2
Please, help me...

Please follow the proper instructions for installing Broker 6.0, which are documented in the Installation Guide and do not include using your own JVM to actually run setup.jar.
Please instead run the executable that comes with the installer for your platform, that will be named "setupXXXXX", where XXXX depends on your platform (for windows it's something like setupI386.exe" or something similar... it's the only exe there is).
Also, Java 1.6 is not supported with Broker 6.0, nor even with Broker 6.1 AFAIK. Please install the supported JDK version for Broker 6.0.
If you do not follow these instructions, you will make a big mess of everything and cause yourself a lot more work. |

Thanks for the advice mqjeff, you are right, Java 1.6 is not supported with Broker 6.0.
With regard to the installer "setupI386.exe", this doesn't exist in anywhere of my MB installation package.
The solution that I founded is below:
- I installed Java 1.4
- Then, I added jdk path to "path" environment variable.
- Finally, I opened "cmd" (Command console)
- I place in the installer path (C:\somedirectory..\..\>
- and execute
>setup.exe -is:javahome C:\javahome -is:tempdir C:\temp -is:log logInstalacion.txt
and this worked sucesfully !!!...
