What do you want to do with the messages in the DLQ? Something different from what the Dead Letter Handler application does?
Are you asking how to write your own program to read the DLQ? To do so, you would need to understand the format of the Dead Letter Header (MQDLH). This is documented in the WMQ Application Programming Reference.
You would next need to write a program to get the messages that you want; then process them as you wish.
Please provide more information about what exactly you want to do with the messages, and why you don't want to use the supplied utility? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

No, I am not asking how to write our own program to read the DLQ?
I want to know, is there any other option to recover message from dead letter queue, with using the Dead letter queue handler..?
Even I have no idea at all….
This is a question, which was asked to me by Interviewer.. |

Here are some questions for you to think about, research, and answer so that the next time you are interviewed for an MQ job, you will be better prepared.
Please be very aware, right now. Almost nobody here will go very much out of their way to provide you with free training, nor any help on how to cheat on interviews.
What does it mean to "recover" a message from a queue?
What is "different" about the Dead Letter Queue from a normal queue?
What is "different" about messages On the Dead Letter queue than messages on other queues?
What, exactly, does the Dead Letter Handler do? How does it do that?
All of the answers to these questions are directly at your hand, in easy reach, in the Info Center. The link to that is properly labled "Info Center" at the top of this very page.
Good luck, and happy reading! |
